Course Details – Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharmacy)
B.Pharmacy is a four-year bachelor's degree. There are eight semesters over this time and the focus of the program is on building a solid foundation in the pharmaceutical sciences. It teaches how drugs and other medicines are made as well as their quality control and safe use. Students learn about the drugs and medicines through both theory and practical experience. In addition to studying the theories behind pharmaceuticals, students also conduct their own research using laboratory equipment and learn about various types of pharmaceutical companies.
In order to be eligible to apply for a B.Pharmacy program, students must complete their education by passing a minimum of 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as required subjects and one additional subject from Mathematics or Biology. Students who wish to apply for a B.Pharmacy program must also obtain the required minimum marks as determined by the university or regulatory authority. This program provides students with the necessary training for future jobs in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare industry, and research and provides a foundation for students to continue their education with a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharmacy) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
